I am a Welsh female photographer who grew up in a little town called Ynyshir in the Rhondda Valleys. My current work has involved me photographing the community around me, as work around identity, to understand myself and where I came from.

I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia. Photography has always been a place where I can lose myself, it’s allowed me to experiment and look inwards as well as outward through the lens.  This process has taken me out of my comfort zone, to understand and appreciate not only myself as a person but also the place that I grew out of in Wales. This has made me realise that the things that I never liked about myself are the things that make me, ME! Also, it’s allowed me to appreciate the love, the warmth of the Valleys in the heart of Wales and I want to be known as a proud Welsh female photographer.
