Mam,

I have so much to thank you for. Being brought up in the same place as you is a
blessing. Because of you I learnt to see the beauty of my hometown and how
amazing it is to be part of a Welsh community.
Growing up I loved watching you get ready and seeing the outfits you put together,
your style influenced me so much. I’m so grateful I had such a great role model
growing up.
Music has always been so important to you and because of that I grew up listening
to the most incredible music. One of my favourite memories I have of us was at your
wedding and David bowie came on and I remember dancing with you and trying to
copy your dance moves, it was so hard to keep up with you but, honestly, it was so
much fun.
Going back to uni and saying goodbye to you is always really hard because, even
though we clash sometimes, being at uni has made me realise how much you do for
me but it’s also made me realise how much I miss just having long chats with you
and watching cheesy romantic movies from the 80s.
I hope you know just how much of an incredible person you are and how grateful I
am to have someone like you in my life.
